Datterselskabet is an artist collective, focused on cross-diciplinary works that combines elements from the field of  music, visual arts, and performing arts. The work of Datterselskabet departs from an eco-feminist mind set, where topics such as motherhood, ecological crisis, and caretaking of both humans and nature are explored through artistic means.

MEMBERS

 

SANDRA BOSS (f.1984) 

The Royal Danish Academy of Music (2014), PhD in sound from Aarhus University (2019). Recipient of Carl Nielsen and Anne Marie Carl Nielsen's Talent Prize (2017) and Statens Kunstfonds 3-Year Work Grant (2022). 

Sandra Boss is a composer who works with instrumental music, electronic music and sound performances. An important element within her work is a physical dialogue with the sound sources who are treated as co-performers.

 

ASTRID HANSEN HOLM (f.1983)

Aarhus University and Universität Wien (2013). Recipient of the Reumert nomination for the performance TYK (2022).

Astrid Hansen Holm is a stage director and dramaturg with a special focus on auditive stories and stagings. In addition to her work at Datterselskabet, Astrid works as a freelance dramaturg for Convoi Exceptionelle, Ruby Gamache and Opera Nord. 


 

INA HJORTH (f. 1983) 

The Royal Danish Academy, Architecture (2012) VOLA scholarship (2012).

Ina Hjorth works in the intersection between art and architecture and explores fundamental architectural questions about the physical appearance and narrative of place and space. Alongside Datterselskabet, she works as a studio manager for the artist Hannah Toticki.


 

KATRINE WÜRTZ (f.1985) 

The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen (2013) Charlottenborg scholarship (2013).

Katrine Würtz is a visual artist whose work alternates between craftsmanship and playful, painterly and sculptural intuitive processes. She also works exploratively with ceramics  under the name WAS.
